Position Overview
As a Gaming Localization Specialist, you will play a critical role in our localization pipeline, either through translation/editing or hands-on LQA testing. You will be the bridge between a game’s original vision and its global audience. Your mission is to ensure that every line of game text (dialogue, UI, menus, etc.) feels native, contextually accurate, and culturally relevant while maintaining peak linguistic quality across various gaming platforms.
Key Responsibilities:
- Undertake all duties assigned by Project Managers
- Translate, edit, proofread, and perform QA checks
- Maintain glossary/terminology
- Verify in-game text for contextual accuracy and source consistency
- Ensure adherence to client guidelines and delivery acceptance standards
- Deliver natural, engaging, and contextually accurate Indonesian translations that enhance player immersion
- Ensure culturally appropriate localization by adapting content to local nuances, minimizing cultural risks, and maintaining consistency across the game
- Identify and correct any linguistic and translation errors in the game
- Identify and log details of bugs, errors, and issues found in the game, providing detailed improvement suggestions
- Ensure adherence to client guidelines and delivery acceptance standards
- Collaborate with Project Managers and other team members to maintain peak quality standards under tight, fast-paced deadlines
Requirements:
- Native proficiency in your target language and strong proficiency in English (or source language).
- Deep passion for games, gaming culture, and localization.
- Familiarity with various gaming genres and platforms (PC, Console, Mobile).
- Strong analytical, research, and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and deliver high-quality work under tight deadlines.
- Keen eye for detail, self-motivated, and out of the box
- Previous experience in game translation, MTPE, LQA testing, or bug tracking is highly preferred.
- For LQA Testers: Compatible testing hardware (Windows PC/laptop, Android/iOS devices) and a stable internet connection.
