Position Overview
Game LQA Specialist (Freelance) will work as part of a game testing team to identify and fix issues affecting the localization of the game by making text changes, writing detailed bug reports, performing regression testing, etc. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and linguistic quality of localized content by performing manual testing across various gaming platform
Key Responsibilities:
- Undertake all duties assigned by Project Managers
- Identify and correct any linguistic and translation errors in the game
- Identify and log details of bugs, errors, and issues found in the game, providing detailed improvement suggestions
- Ensure adherence to client guidelines and delivery acceptance standards
- Collaborate with Project Managers and other team members to maintain peak quality standards under tight, fast-paced deadlines
Requirements:
- Native Malay speaker with strong proficiency in English
- Big passion for game and gaming localization with familiarity in various gaming genres and platforms (PC, console, mobile, etc.)
- Strong understanding of gaming culture in Malay
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify, explain, and justify issues or bugs clearly and effectively
- Ability to take initiative and work independently under pressure
- Keen eye for detail, self-motivated, and out of the box
- Ability to maintain accurate and consistent high-quality work under tight timeframes
- Experience with different types of games is highly valued
- Experience in the gaming translation field is a plus
- Previous experience as an LQA Specialist or Game Tester is a huge plus
- Having compatible devices (Windows PC/laptop; Mac OS is currently not compatible with this project) and a strong internet connection
